Hank Intven provides consulting services through Haro Strait Consulting Inc. For over 30 years, he has advised a broad range of clients with a stake in telecommunications regulation and policy.

In Canada, Hank has been directly involved in many major communications business transactions, policy and regulatory developments. After serving as Executive Director of Telecommunications at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), he led the communications practice group at a major business law firm for 26 years. Hank directed the group’s telecom practice in over 25 countries on 5 continents.

Hank has advised governments, regulators, investors and financial institutions as well as telecom carriers, broadcasters and Internet service providers. He has served on the boards of telecom companies and on expert advisory committees to governments. His publications on telecom regulation and policy are widely referred to by stakeholders in telecommunications regulation and policy in Canada and around the world. He is an adjunct professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria.
